WINNERS have been crowned in a colourful wheelbarrow trail throughout Haddington.
More than 40 entries were submitted to the Blooming Haddington competition, which was sponsored by Rotary Haddington, which vowed to plant a tree for each of the entries.
Winners were named in four categories – individual, business, organisation and neighbourhood – before an overall winner was selected.
Louise Begbie, vice-chairwoman of the town’s green-fingered group of volunteers, was impressed with the standard of entry into the trail.
She said: “It was very impressive, it really was.
“There was a lot of effort put in and I think we had more than 40 wheelbarrows.”
Each entry received a special certificate, which was planted on seed paper.
The certificates can be planted and turned into wild flowers.
