THE funeral of a Dunbar man who tragically died last month takes place on Monday.

Colin Leslie, who had been living in Cheltenham, died on September 5 following an incident outside a pub in the Cotswolds.

His death is being investigated by Gloucestershire Constabulary.

A statement issued by police on behalf of Mr Leslie’s family said: “Colin was a dearly loved son, father, brother, partner and uncle.

“Colin was always a happy guy who was well known to everyone and who touched so many lives.

“We as a family are absolutely heartbroken that he has been tragically taken from us like this.

“Our lives without Colin will never be the same again.”

The funeral takes place at Belhaven Church, with donations being given in aid of Dunbar RNLI and Marie Curie.

A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Constabulary said: “A 52-year-old man from London who had been arrested on suspicion of murder has since been released from police custody on conditional bail.

“The arrest related to the death of a man who sustained serious injuries after being assaulted outside a Cotswolds public house on Saturday August 28.

“Colin Leslie, aged 51 and from Cheltenham, died on Sunday September 5, eight days after the incident in Bourton-on-the-Water.”
