A PLAN to create a takeaway kitchen to the rear of an Indian restaurant has been withdrawn.
Two sets of proposals to transform Altaf Khan Restaurant on Tranent’s High Street had been submitted to East Lothian Council.
One of those was to change the covered parking area to form a kitchen for delivery service.
Those proposals have now been withdrawn.
A second set of plans, to turn the 65-seater restaurant into two houses – one with three bedrooms and the other with four – remain under consideration by the local authority’s planning department.
