AN EAST Linton man has been ordered to pay a hefty fine after he was found guilty of assaulting a man outside a Dunbar pub.
Alex Craig, of Orchardfield, was involved in an incident outside the Eagle Inn in Dunbar in May 2019.
Craig was found to have kicked Steven Thomson to the head while he was sitting on the ground outside the pub.
The 21-year-old stood trial at Edinburgh Sheriff Court earlier this year alongside 22-year-old co-accused Cameron Gay.
Gay, of Bridge Street, East Linton, was ultimately cleared of involvement but Craig was found guilty by a jury.
Craig returned to the dock last Tuesday, where he was sentenced to pay a total fine of £740.
Craig was found guilty of assaulting Steven Thomson by kicking him on the head outside the Eagle Inn, Dunbar High Street, on May 24, 2019.
