COSTA Coffee has been contacted in a bid for a bin to be placed outside its new drive-thru in Haddington.
The coffee shop opened its latest branch in Haddington Retail Park at the end of July and concerns about litter have already been highlighted.
Craig Hoy, who represents the town on East Lothian Council and is a South Scotland MSP, approached the local authority but was told that there was no budget for a new bin.
He has now written to the chief executive of Costa Coffee to encourage the company to address the issue.
