A DISUSED quarry is being used for paddleboarding and open water swimming.
Police have warned people of the dangers of using Bangley Quarry, to the north of Haddington, for leisure activities.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland urged people to stay away from the site.
They said: “This site is privately owned and steps have been taken to secure the site with appropriate signage in place warning people of the dangers of swimming within the quarry.
"We would ask that the public observe these signs and refrain from attending the area for water sport activity. We will be assisting in patrols.”
