A WARNING to revellers to behave sensibly at today's Musselburgh Races Stobo Castle Ladies Day has been issued by police in East Lothian.
East Lothian Police took to Facebook to remind the community that the racing event taking place today will increase traffic in the Musselburgh area.
They said in a statement: "If you can avoid the area or take a different route through the town this will speed up your journey.
"Traffic will build from around 10am and get busier again around 5pm."

An increased search system at Musselburgh Racecourse will be in place and police said "it may take longer than usual to access the event".
There will be a significant police presence in the town and within the event arena.
Attendees are reminded that alcohol is not permitted to be taken into the racecourse and there is a bylaw prohibiting alcohol being consumed in a public place.
They continued: "Drink sensibly and look after each other throughout the day."
There will be water stations at the course for racegoers to use.
