MUSSELBURGH man Andrew Stewart will be sentenced next month after pleading guilty to assaulting a man.
Stewart, of Watts Close, pushed David Noble to the ground before repeatedly kicking him to the body.
Stewart also struck Mr Noble to the head during the violent attack on the town’s Bridge Street in March last year.
The 47-year-old admitted the offence at Edinburgh Sheriff Court earlier this year and was due to be sentenced last Wednesday.
But when the case called, Sheriff Adrian Fraser was told that case social work reports had not been prepared and sentence was deferred for a second time.
Stewart will now return to the dock for sentencing on August 18.
Stewart pleaded guilty to assaulting David Noble by uttering threats towards him, pushing him to the body, causing him to fall to the ground, before repeatedly kicking him on the body and striking him to the head, all to his injury, on March 19 last year.
