TALENTED young footballers have hit the back of the net to boost a county charity.
Haddington Athletic CFC 2007 football team handed over a cheque for £1,000 to Leuchie House.
The charity, based on the outskirts of North Berwick, is dedicated to providing caring respite breaks for people and their families living with long-term conditions.
Colin Bowsher’s young footballers raised the funds, with Daniel Stewart, representing his team-mates, handing over the cheque.
Haddington Athletic CFC 2007 lifted the John Crawford Cup at Millfield – home of Haddington Athletic – last month with victory over Dalkeith Thistle.
Stewart, who was man of the match in the final, scored both goals in the 2-1 victory.
