THE owner of two dogs which were stolen from his garden last Thursday said he reacted with “shock and disbelief”.
Fraser Symon, who lives in North Berwick, said his dogs, a golden Labrador and a black Labrador, were stolen at about 3pm, with details of the car that took them posted on social media in a bid to track the culprit down.
More than six hours later, he was reunited with his pets, saying: “We are in shock and disbelief that someone could do such a thing but we are just so happy to have our boys back.
“We genuinely can’t thank everyone enough for their response. It has been truly amazing. Thank you so much!”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.05pm last Thursday, police received a report of the theft of two dogs on Phillimore Square in North Berwick.
“The dogs have now been returned and enquiries are ongoing.”
