A MAN has been arrested after "unacceptable sexualised comments" were made towards young girls at a park in Musselburgh, police have said.
Police received reports about the alleged incident in Lewisvale Park last Thursday, with the man also allegedly acting aggressively towards others.
East Lothian Police stated: "On June 17, we received reports that a male had been making unacceptable sexualised comments towards young girls in Lewisvale Park, Musselburgh, and also acting aggressively towards others.
"Local response officers carried out enquires and identified further unreported incidents.
"Following this, a 26-year-old male was identified and has been arrested and held in custody to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.
"He has been charged with offences under the Sexual Offences Scotland Act (SOSA) and for threatening and abusive behaviour."
