A MAN has died after his van collided with a house on the outskirts of Haddington.
Police were called to the incident on Saturday evening on the A199 at Abbey Toll, east of Haddington.
The 48-year-old man, who was the driver and van’s sole occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No one from within the house was injured.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to the A199 near Haddington at around 7.55pm on Saturday after a vehicle collided with a house.
“Enquiries are ongoing into the cause of the crash and anyone who witnessed the Vauxhall Combo van travelling eastbound on the A199 and potentially has dashcam footage, or who saw the collision, should contact Police Scotland on 101 and quote incident number 3797 of May 15.”
