A TEENAGER has been charged with assault after allegedly headbutting a man in Renfrew.
It is claimed the 18-year-old man was repeatedly striking a door in the close of a Fulbar Street building at around 11pm on Friday.
When a 42-year-old resident challenged the teenager over the disturbance, the suspect reportedly headbutted the man.
The suspect was promptly taken into custody by officers and later released on an undertaking.
Police said the older man suffered a minor head injury but did not need hospital treatment.
A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
