EMERGENCY services were called out this morning (Thursday) to search for a missing person near Tantallon Castle.
Police were assisted by volunteers from North Berwick’s RNLI and coastguard in the search to the east of the town shortly before 10.30am.
A spokesperson for the lifeboat crew said: “The lifeboat was stood down prior to arrival as the person had been traced safe and well.
“If you see anyone you are concerned about on the coastline or in the water, call 999 and request the coastguard.”
