IT MIGHT be May and the height of Spring but that does not stop a yellow weather warning for snow being put in place for East Lothian by the Met Office.
The warning came into force at 3.45am this morning (Thursday) and runs until 11am.
It could cause some disruption to travel with journeys taking longer.
An area of snow and rain is extending southwards and will turn more showery as the morning progresses, with only a few centimetres predicted, between three and six.
As well as covering most of the county, the warning covers most of central and northern Scotland.
Already, parts of the A9 in Perthshire have been blanketed by snow and caused disruption on the road this morning.
