YACHTS are once again a key feature of North Berwick Harbour after they were craned in last week.
Every winter, the boats are lifted out of the water and put into storage.
But last Friday and ahead of the upcoming sailing season, East Lothian Yacht Club arranged for 20 yachts to be lifted from dry land by crane and lowered into the water at the harbour.
The boats were lifted onto a flat, wheeled tray and pushed or pulled to the water side, where the crane was waiting to lift them into the water, as these images by Derek Braid show.
