PLANS are under way for a further 149 new homes at the St Clements Wells development at Wallyford.
Taylor Wimpey East Scotland has submitted an Approval of Matters specified in Conditions (AMC) application to East Lothian Council for the houses, which would be built on land at Futures Way.
Forming part of the St Clements Wells masterplan, the company aims to build 149 new homes in a mix of two, three and four-bedroom properties at its Ravensheugh site; in addition to its 69 homes already under construction.
The developer also has plans to apply to build 80 to 90 more homes at a future point.
Developer contributions from the overall St Clements Wells project are being made towards a new primary school, secondary school, local centre and community woodland, as well as the provision of new footpaths and cycleways to connect the development to Wallyford and the local train station.
The total number of new homes approved for the Wallyford area – at St Clements Wells and the adjacent Dolphingstone site – is about 2,050.
