A MUSSELBURGH man has been banned from the road after being caught behind the wheel while more than double the drink-drive limit.
Stephen Baigan, of Stoneyhill Road, was breathalysed by police after being pulled over at Park Avenue, Edinburgh, on February 2 last year.
The 28-year-old gave a reading of 49mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 22mg.
Baigan admitted the offence at court on Monday.
He was fined £400 and banned from driving for 12 months.
