A WALKER had to be rescued from North Berwick Law on Friday after suffering a suspected broken ankle.

Emergency services were called out, as well as volunteers from the coastguard, with half a dozen vehicles in attendance on the edge of the town.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attended along with the Scottish Ambulance Service and stretchered the female partially down, where she was then placed into the Polaris and taken to a waiting ambulance where she received treatment for a suspected broken ankle.

“This incident shows the good work that can be done while working with partners.”
