PRESTON Lodge High School’s headteacher has described the challenges facing pupils in recent weeks as “enormous”.

Gavin Clark wished pupils well as they started their Easter break earlier this month.

Youngsters will return to the Prestonpans secondary school on a full-time timetable following the school holidays.

The headteacher urged everyone connected with the school to reflect on where they had been and look to the future.

He said: “As we come to the end of yet another most unusual term, I would like to thank all of our staff, our students and their families for everything that has been done to make the last three months such a success.

“The challenges have been enormous, and things haven’t always run smoothly, but we have all come through this really well together, and the Preston Lodge family enters the Easter break in good spirits, looking forward to a full return of all students on April 20.”
