YOUNG actors are being given the chance to shine in the spotlight this Easter at some action-packed outdoor drama and dance camps next week.

The Brunton and East Lothian Youth Theatre and Dance Network have put together three-day acting and three-day dance camps for children aged seven to 11, enabling them to develop their drama and dance skills.

Youngsters at each two-hour drama workshop, in venues around the county, will be able to take part in activities including games, performance skills and improvisation, while the two-hour dance workshop will develop the children’s break and street dance skills, offering games, funky moves and cool freezes.

A spokesperson for The Brunton Theatre Trust said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for the young people of East Lothian to participate in creative and fun activities in beautiful outdoor spaces across East Lothian during their school holiday.

“The friendly professional tutors will ensure that all Covid-19 measures and child protection guidance are in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable event.”
