A BID is being made to see a ferret, which jumped into someone’s car in a cemetery, reunited with his owner.

The Scottish SPCA posted on social media earlier today (Tuesday) in a bid to try to trace the male ferret’s owner.

The animal was found in Tranent Cemetery on Thursday, when he jumped into “an unsuspecting member of the public’s car!”

The light-coloured ferret is now in the care of the charity’s Edinburgh centre.

A spokesman for the Scottish SPCA said: “We are trying to trace this animal's owners.

“Please only contact us if you have relevant information.”
