TWO vans were targeted at opposite ends of East Lothian in the same morning.
Police were called out to two incidents, with the first taking place at 1am on Gardiner Road in Prestonpans.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called to Gardiner Road in Prestonpans, around 1am today (Thursday) following reports a van had been broken into and tools had been stolen.
“Enquiries into this incident are continuing.”
The second incident saw police attend Dunbar's High Street.
The spokesperson added: “We were called to High Street, Dunbar around 7.35am today (Thursday) following reports a van had been damaged, nothing was reported stolen.
“Enquiries are continuing.”
When asked if the two incidents are linked, the police spokesperson said that as "enquiries are at an early stage" they "would not be able to say one way or the other at the moment".
