POLICE have issued a warning to residents in Musselburgh to ensure their bikes and outbuildings are secured to safeguard their property.
This follows the alleged theft of a bicycle from a home in the town; and also the theft of a hybrid bike from a property at Lewisvale Court.
The first bike was located by East Lothian Community Action Team (ELCAT) officers recently.
A person has been traced and charged with the alleged offence.
The theft of the second bike happened some time between February 3 and 6.
The bike (pictured above) is a B’TWIN, Riverside 500 model, with a mainly black frame, a small red LED light on the rear, bright LED reflectors rear and front, bottle cage and waterproof bag at the left hand side.
Anyone who has seen the bike or has any information should contact police on 101, quoting CR/07948/21.
