A MUSSELBURGH woman has been placed on a supervision order after she admitted assaulting a child.
Cheryl Selfridge, 31, assaulted the child by repeatedly seizing the child by the body and slapping the youngster to the body.
She also admitted shouting, swearing and adopting an aggressive demeanour towards the child on occasions between October 16, 2018, and October 16, 2020.
Selfridge, of the town’s Belfield Court, appeared for sentencing at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Tuesday after previously pleading guilty.
Sheriff Adrian Cottam placed her on supervision for the next 18 months.
