POLICE are searching for a man and woman spotted trying handles on vehicles and homes in the early hours of the morning in Port Seton.

Properties and vehicles on Rowanhill Drive and Laburnum Avenue were targeted at about 3.15am on Saturday, February 20.

Police believe the man and woman were acting together.

It is thought that they were picking separate streets simultaneously and then meeting up and driving away together in a dark coloured Ford Focus.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland described those thought to be involved to the Courier.

They said: “The male is described as being around 5ft 10in, slim build, wearing a black hoodie with white tassels, a black face covering, black joggers and grey trainers.

“He has a distinctive limp on his right leg.

“The female is described as being around 5ft 6in, slim build, with long blonde hair, wearing a dark coloured hoodie with white tassels, dark coloured jogging bottoms and black shoes with a white sole.

“Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on non-emergency number 101, quoting incident number 0629 of February 20 or alternatively ask for PC Daniel Greig based at Musselburgh Police Station.”
