A NUMBER of youths have been charged and reported to the youth justice officer following complaints about alleged disorder at the Brunton Hall in Musselburgh.

Constable Robbie Stewart from the Musselburgh Community Policing Team said: "Damage and intimidation in and around Musselburgh will not be tolerated and where suspects are identified they will be dealt with accordingly."

The youths were identified following a number of complaints of alleged vandalism and large groups of youths intimidating members of the public around the Brunton Hall.

The community policing team plans to continue to patrol areas of increased anti-social behaviour in a bid to combat the issue.

Parents are also urged to ask their children where and what they are doing when not at home, particularly given current Covid-19 lockdown restrictions.
