SEVEN youngsters have been spoken to by police following alleged vandalism on Coalgate Avenue.

Officers were alerted to the incident on the Tranent street last Thursday (February 18) after reports of anti-social behaviour.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland gave an update a week later and said that three youths had been traced and charged following the incident.

They said: “A further four youths have been issued with parental advisory letters due to their part in the incident.

“Work will continue around this area and should any further incidents come to light, appropriate policing measures will be taken.”
