A MUSSELBURGH man has been placed on supervision after he admitted assaulting a woman by pushing her.
Thomas Rowan also behaved aggressively by smashing household items and shouting and swearing at police officers during the incident on May 10 last year.
Rowan, of Moir Avenue, had admitted the offences during an earlier hearing at Edinburgh Sheriff Court and he returned for sentencing last Tuesday.
Sheriff Peter McCormack placed 52-year-old Rowan on the year-long offenders supervision order as an alternative to a financial penalty.
