CANNABIS plants worth more than £3,000 have been found at a house in Haddington.

Police officers executed a search warrant in Letham Mains on Wednesday morning.

A spokesman for Police Scotland confirmed: “A number of mature cannabis plants were seized with a value of £3,200.

“A 50-year-old male will be charged and reported to the Procurator Fiscal in relation to the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 offences.”

The search came as part of Operation Juneau, which was set up last year.

It aims to reduce the harm caused in communities by substance misuse and reduce the impact of drugs on vulnerable people across the county.
