FOUR glamping pods could be created near a 14th-century castle overlooking the Firth of Forth.
Plans have been lodged with East Lothian Council for holiday accommodation and an office to be created in a field to the north-east of Fa’side Castle.
The proposals show four glamping pods, facing out over Wallyford and the Firth of Forth, at the existing steading near the castle.
The single-storey pods would each come with a kitchen, living area and toilet facilities, as well as somewhere for people to sleep.
Also proposed for the site is a static caravan, which would be transformed into an office if the proposals were approved.
The plans, which have been submitted by Bridget Meenan, are with the local authority’s planning department.
Fa’side Castle, which is spread over six floors and features six bedrooms, is about two miles to the south-west of Tranent.
