A MUSSELBURGH man who refused to give police a blood sample has been banned from driving.
James Tully failed to allow the sample to be taken following his arrest in Whitecraig on January 7.
Tully also uttered threatening remarks to his partner and made threats to damage her vehicle in the village on the same date.
The 46-year-old admitted the two charges when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Thursday.
Sheriff John Cook fined Tully, of Burns Wynd, £250 for the offence regarding threatening remarks to his partner.
The sheriff also issued a fine of £400 and banned Tully from the road for 14 months for failing to give a sample of his blood to police officers at St Leonard’s Police Station in Edinburgh.
