A GIANT snowball "the size of a small car" found in the middle of a main road in Prestonpans yesterday evening (Wednesday) resulted in a call to police.
Officers were called at about 8.20pm to the town’s High Street.
It is thought that some children had built the snowball and rolled it onto the road.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said that they referred the incident to East Lothian Council, who later cleared it.
A council spokesperson said: “A large snowball which had been rolled to approximately the size of a small car, then pushed down a slope onto a main road in Prestonpans last night, was reported to police.
“Fortunately, no one was injured but it posed a significant risk to traffic and the council’s road team were alerted by the police and cleared it off the road.”
