NEARLY 400 calls were made to police from the Tranent and Elphinstone area during the month of December.
This resulted in 60 crimes being recorded for the area.
Details of the incidents were included in a report sent to Tranent and Elphinstone Community Council.
Among the crimes recorded were 11 cases of theft, an attempted theft and two calls for fraud.
There were 17 assaults recorded, one domestic, four regarding threatening or abusive behaviour, and five regarding violence or disorder through communication.
Police were also called to four misuse of drugs crimes, six acts of vandalism, one road traffic matter and eight other miscellaneous offences.
