THE number of calls made to police officers in North Berwick regarding anti-social behaviour decreased significantly last month.

Since the first lockdown in spring last year, a high number of calls were made, most of which regarded either youths gathering in the Lodge Grounds or loud music being played from properties.

All of the incidents have been detailed in reports sent by local officers to North Berwick Community Council.

The first incident detailed in the most recent report took place on the afternoon of December 6.

A report was received regarding youths allegedly throwing objects, possibly made of metal, at cars on Dunbar Road.

Police attended but there was no trace of the youths and no reports of any damage to vehicles.

In the early hours of December 7, a man was arrested and charged on Lochbridge Road for breaching his ASBO by playing loud music from his house.

While on the evening of December 12, police were made aware of a possible party after loud noise was heard from a house on Clifford Road.

Police attended and asked guests within the house to leave.

The same evening, police were alerted to alleged drug taking in a property on St Andrew Street.

Officers attended but there was no-one within the property.
