“A SUBSTANTIAL amount” of cannabis has been recovered after drug searches in Gifford.
Officers from East Lothian Community Action Team teamed up with local community officers to execute two drug warrants at addresses in the village on Monday as part of Operation Juneau.
Two men – aged 33 and 36 – and a 40-year-old woman will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal for drug offences.
Money was also recovered from the addresses.
Chief Inspector Neil Mitchell, local area commander, said: “As promised, and as we move into 2021, we are stepping up our efforts to reduce the harm caused to our communities by drug misuse.
“Thanks to information from our partners we made a substantial recovery of controlled drugs and money which highlights our zero tolerance approach against those involved in the manufacture, sale and supply of controlled drugs in East Lothian.
“We will continue to work with our partners to make East Lothian a safe place to live.”
