THE disruption to bin collections caused by yesterday’s snow continues today (Friday) and has affected residents in Dunbar.
Householders in the town were due to have their recycling boxes emptied today.
But due to yesterday’s disruption, kerbside recycling collections will now take place next week.
Some collections may be made on Monday or Tuesday but residents are being asked to keep their boxes outside where it is safe to do so.
The weather meant that all of the day’s waste and recycling collections were not able to be carried out.
Recycling centres were also closed but are now open as normal. The site at Macmerry delayed opening until 10am due to ice.

Recycling and food waste due to be emptied yesterday (Thursday) will now be emptied on Sunday.
Green bins will be collected today (Friday) or, if it is not able to be collected, Monday.
Brown bin collections were suspended to assist with the refuse collection catch-up. People are asked to put these bins out next week from Monday; collections will be carried out throughout the week.
The five schools that were closed yesterday were able to reopen today; schools across the county are offering limited places to children of key workers.
