A GROUP set up to tackle youth-related anti-social behaviour throughout Haddington is continuing into 2021.

The Problem Solving Partnership (PSP) aims to address the issue throughout the town.

Police Constable Natalie Dalziel said the group was set up to deliver “an effective multi-agency response” to the problem.

She highlighted the PSP in a report sent to the town’s community council, which met earlier this month.

The officer said: “There have been a number of calls in relation to youths causing anti-social behaviour in Haddington.

"Community wardens, outreach workers and police continue to routinely patrol hotspot areas.

"Unless direct action is required, the youths are engaged with to encourage them to divert from this sort of activity. If suitable, parent advisory letters are issued.”

Any issues relating to anti-social behaviour can be reported to police on 101.
