FAMILIES who rely on a county charity were able to tuck into some succulent lamb this festive season.
James, Charles and Harry Hamilton, of Aikengall, near Dunbar, donated Blackface lamb to East Lothian Foodbank on behalf of the Blackface Sheep Breeders’ Association.
The donation was made to the charity, which is based in Tranent, in the lead-up to Christmas.
Ahead of Christmas, James said: “It just felt right to donate what we produce to the people who need it most.
"We have been very lucky as an industry that, by and large, we have been able to continue trading semi-normally when many others have had lives turned upside down and hit times of real adversity.
"Hopefully, a few families using the foodbank enjoy some Blackface lamb this festive season!”
