GARY Anderson is aiming for a hat-trick of world titles tonight (Sunday) when he takes on Gerwyn Price.
The Musselburgh-born darts man will take to the stage shortly before 7.30pm for the best-of-13 set contest.
The winner will not only lift the Sid Waddell Trophy but also earn a £500,000 top prize.
Fifty-year-old Anderson has the experience advantage having previously reached the final on four occasions, including being crowned champion twice.
Price is the first-ever Welshman to reach the final of the competition, which takes place at London's Alexandra Palace.
The contest is a repeat of the 2018 Grand Slam of Darts, which Price won 16-13.
Anderson has reached the final on four occasions.
In 2011, he lost 7-5 to Adrian Lewis before reaching the final for a second time in 2015.
On that occasion, he defeated darts great Phil Taylor 7-6.
Anderson would retain the title 12 months later, gaining revenge on Lewis with a 7-5 win.
A hat-trick of titles would evade him the following year as Michael van Gerwen won 7-3.

Gary Anderson told pdc.tv: "I feel like I've played alright for most of this tournament and I'll give it a good go in the final.
"I think I need to play better against Gerwyn but I'll just play my darts and he'll play his.
"I'll be quiet and he'll be loud and we'll see how it goes."
Gerwyn Price told pdc.tv: "I'm full of confidence after that game [semi-final].
"I definitely improved for this match but there is a lot more in the tank.
"I always seem to find that bit of extra edge when I need to and I know I have got what it takes to win the final."
