PRESTON Lodge High School has reported another case of Covid-19.
Parents and carers were alerted to the news today (Wednesday) and told that someone from the school had tested positive for coronavirus.
The tracing process established that the person was not at school whilst they were infectious and so no close contacts within the school have been identified.
Pupils should continue to attend school as normal if they remain well.
This is the third time the school has announced cases of the virus.
On September 15, it said that “a very small number of people” in the school had tested positive.
On November 3 it was confirmed that “a person from the school” had also tested positive.
It is not the only school in Prestonpans to be affected by Covid-19 – Preston Tower Primary School has also previously reported cases of the virus.
Preston Lodge High School is the fourth school in East Lothian in the past week to confirm cases of the virus.
On Saturday, one was reported at Musselburgh Grammar School.
On Monday, one was reported at each of Pinkie St Peter’s and Haddington Primary Schools.
