A WEST Barns man broke a chair by throwing it during a domestic incident involving his wife at their home.
Nelson Queiroz, 38, shouted, swore and grabbed a mobile phone from the woman during the incident, when he behaved aggressively towards her.
Queiroz, currently of Ravensheugh Road, Musselburgh, also took possession of a knife and threatened to harm himself during the argument in April.
Queiroz admitted the offence when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Wednesday.
Sheriff John Cook deferred sentence to next month for the preparation of background reports.
Queiroz pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing and throwing a chair at an address at Springfield Terrace, West Barns, on April 22.
