A COUNTY man has appeared in court via a video link from prison to admit possessing a knife at an address in Dunbar.
Peter Renton, 48, pleaded guilty to pursuing Robert Ingles while in possession of the blade at the town’s Yosemite Park in April.
Renton also shouted, swore and issued threats of violence towards the man while chasing him.
He admitted the two offences when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court while in custody at HMP Edinburgh.
Sheriff Thomas Welsh QC placed Renton on 12 months of supervision as a direct alternative to a custodial sentence.
Renton pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing and uttering threats of violence while pursuing Robert Ingles while in possession of a knife at Yosemite Park, Dunbar, on April 7.
He also admitted a charge of possessing the knife during the same incident.
