THREE schools in East Lothian have confirmed positive cases of Covid-19 this week.

On Monday, parents and carers with children at Wallyford Primary School and Ross High School in Tranent were made aware of a person in each school that had tested positive.

A number of people have now been contacted and are now self-isolating as they have been in close and sustained contact with the case, the tracking process is complete.

Yesterday (Tuesday) a case was also confirmed at Dunbar Primary School.

The case was not at school whilst they were infectious and anyone who was been in direct contact with them have been contacted and will be staying at home for 14 days.

Enhanced cleaning and infection control measures are in place in all of the schools in line with national guidance.

All of the schools are safe and remain open.

Children who have not been contacted should continue to attend school as normal if they remain well.
