COUNTY exercise class lovers will be jumping for joy with the return of instructor-led sessions at East Lothian's sports centres next week.

Enjoyleisure, which operates six sports centres on behalf of East Lothian Council, has today announced that its fitness classes are resuming from Tuesday.

The classes - held in Haddington, North Berwick, Musselburgh, Dunbar, Tranent and at Meadowmill - had to be taken online last month and delivered via Zoom after group indoor exercise activities were banned due to the pandemic.

But East Lothian's pending switch to a lower Covid protection level has resulted in the return of a variety of activities including metafit, spinfit, zumba, yoga, aquafit, pilates and teen gym.

A spokesperson for Enjoyleisure said: "With the confirmed change in protection level in East Lothian from level 3 to level 2, we are delighted to be bringing back fitness classes to our sports centres from Tuesday, November 24. We can't wait to welcome people back!"
