A COUNTY man has pleaded guilty to assault.
Andrew Donald admitted adopting an aggressive manner towards Alex Kelly and butting him to the head in Edinburgh on November 11 last year.
The pair were said to have engaged in a struggle at the city’s Ethel Terrace.
Donald, of Lochhouses Farm, near Whitekirk, also stood trial after he denied attacking a man with a golf club near his home on July 16. He also denied resisting police arrest and kicking a police officer on the body the following day.
And following a short trial at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Tuesday, Donald, 57, was found guilty of the three offences by Sheriff Adrian Fraser.
Before the trial commenced, Donald had pleaded guilty to a charge of possessing cannabis on June 17.
Sentence on all matters was deferred to December 23.
