THE renovation of historic stables into new homes the Merchant City has bagged another award.
Judges at the Scottish Home Awards were left impressed by the transformation of the Bell Street Stables into 52 new flats , by Wheatley Group’s GHA .
The award for Renovation of the Year follows an earlier award at the Scottish Design Awards.
Once a Victorian stable block housing working horses belonging to the city's cleansing development, the regeneration was made possible by a £2million grant by the Scottish Government.
The Scottish Home Awards celebrate the best of Scotland’s new build housing every year and have been running since 2007.
A Parkhouse development by Wheatley Group also took away an award.
Director of development, David Fletcher, said: "Thanks to our own great team, our contractors and grant funders who made this possible.”
