A FORMER Dunbar Grammar School pupil has narrowly missed out on winning the Scottish Album of the Year.
Callum Easter made it through to the final of the prestigious national award, with Nova being crowned the youngest ever winner for her album Re-Up last Thursday evening.
Callum, 33, released Here Or Nowhere last April and his was one of 20 albums which were originally named on the longlist.
The list was then whittled down to 10, with Callum’s debut album among those on the shortlist for the £20,000 prize.
When it was first announced that he was on the longlist, Callum, who grew up in Dunbar, said: “It’s great to be up for the award.
“It feels good and it is nice to get the recognition.”
Work has already started on Callum’s follow-up album, which is being released on the Moshi Moshi Music label.
