A THIEF who broke into two businesses in his home town of Haddington has been jailed.
Ajdin Husic was imprisoned for 162 days at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Wednesday.
Husic, of High Street, had admitted stealing alcohol and tobacco products from Rosehall Stores, Pencaitland Road, on July 18 last year, as well as stealing alcohol from the town’s Waterside Bistro after breaking into the premises on September 9 last year.
The 20-year-old was back in the dock last week, where Sheriff Peter McCormack said he had no option but to jail the offender.
Husic was admonished on a charge of causing an animal unnecessary cruelty by kicking a dog at Church Street, Haddington, on July 16 last year.
