A TEENAGER missing from Port Seton since late on Monday night has been found.

Ivana Scott was last seen late on Monday, close to midnight, at her home.

Police Scotland launched an appeal for people to try to help find the 13-year-old yesterday (Tuesday).

A police spokesman confirmed this afternoon (Wednesday) that the teenager had been “traced safe and well”.

He added: “Thank you for sharing our appeal.”

It is thought she was found in Edinburgh.

This morning, prior to the news that she had been found, local residents organised and took part in a search for Ivana.

A call for volunteers to help with the search was made by Cockenzie and Port Seton Community Council.

Scores of people met outside the Port Seton Centre at 8am, wearing masks and adhering to social distancing rules.

After news of her finding had been shared, a spokesperson for the community council said: "The community council would like to thank everyone that came out this morning to look for Ivana Scott she has now been found.

"Thank you to everyone who shared the posts and helped with the search."
